Wound Torso
WOUND SIMULATION SERIES
WOUND TORSO™
Junctional and Upper-Body Trauma Training.
The Wounds That Are Hardest to Treat.
Junctional hemorrhage — wounds to the neck, shoulder, axilla, and chest wall — is among the most challenging traumas to manage in the field. Tourniquets don't apply. Wound geometry is complex. Anatomical landmarks matter. The Wound Torso™ was designed specifically to train these injuries: the ones that require the most skill, carry the highest stakes, and are least practiced in standard hemorrhage-control curricula.
Anatomically configured with wounds to the neck, shoulder girdle, chest wall, and upper back, the Wound Torso incorporates patent-pending wound plug technology that lets instructors activate or deactivate individual bleeds — scaling complexity from single-wound fundamentals to full multi-source hemorrhage and respiratory management, all on one platform.
WHAT MAKES THE WOUND TORSO DIFFERENT
• Patent-pending wound plug technology. Instructors can activate or deactivate individual bleed-capable wounds using silicone plugs made from the same material as the trainer. When applied, the plugs effectively hide wounds — allowing scenario complexity to be dialed up or down without changing equipment. One trainer. Infinite scenario configurations.
• Molded ribs for needle decompression training. The Wound Torso includes anatomically correct molded ribs positioned to support needle decompression training at the Anterior Axillary Line — one of the most critical and time-sensitive interventions in penetrating chest trauma management.
• Full anatomical wound variety. Carotid-involved neck penetration. Subclavian-involved trap laceration. Penetrating chest injury. Shoulder avulsion. Non-descript soft tissue injuries. The Wound Torso covers the range of upper-body trauma patterns responders are most likely to encounter and least likely to practice.
• Three active bleed-capable wounds. With two blood pumps included, instructors can run simultaneous multi-source bleeding scenarios that replicate the physiological complexity of real upper-body trauma.
CHOOSE YOUR TRAINING CONFIGURATION
• Semi-Transparent: Reveals internal structures — bleeding pathways, wound cavity depth, and tissue layers. Ideal for foundational instruction where students need to understand the origin of hemorrhage and the anatomy of deliberate wound packing before advancing to higher-stress scenarios.
• Medium Skin Tone: Eliminates visual cues and forces reliance on tactile assessment. Students must identify bleeding sources, wound depth, and packing needs by feel alone — replicating real-world conditions and reinforcing the muscle memory that saves lives when vision is compromised.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
• One Wound Torso™
• 2x Sets of Wound Plugs (excluding avulsion and small distracting injuries)
• Two Blood Pumps
• Carry Case
WOUND FEATURES
• Penetrating neck trauma with carotid involvement
